Photo:  White House photo by Paul Morse

President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Norma McQuiller upon arrival at the airport in Seattle, Washington, on Friday, June 16, 2006. McQuiller is a volunteer with Communities In Schools of Renton. To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors local volunteers, called USA Freedom Corps greeters, when he travels throughout the United States. President Bush has met with more than 500 individuals around the country, like McQuiller, since March 2002.
