President George W. Bush met Dolores Milbeck upon arrival in Mosinee, Wisconsin, on Thursday, October 7, 2004. Milbeck, 78, is an active volunteer with the Mount View Health Care Center.

President George W. Bush will meet Dolores Milbeck when he arrives in Mosinee, Wisconsin, on Thursday, October 7, 2004. Milbeck, 78, is an active volunteer with the Mount View Health Care Center.

President Bush has called on all Americans to volunteer two years or 4,000 hours over the course of their lifetimes, and hecreated USA Freedom Corpsto help foster a culture of service, citizenship, and responsibility. Since March 2002, President Bush has met with more than 300 individuals around the country, like Milbeck, who are answering the call to volunteer service.

For the past ten years, Milbeck has been a volunteer with the Mount View Health Care Center. She works in the center's Fashion Nook eight to ten hours a week, organizing donations of clothing and shoes for health care center residents and others in need in the community. Milbeck also is on-call full time to escort Mount View Health Care Center residents to medical and dental appointments. Once a week Milbeck is in charge of the center’s activity room where she serves coffee and snacks to the residents.

Through USA Freedom Corps, President Bush wants to help every American answer the Call to Service by strengthening and expanding service opportunities to protect our homeland, support our communities, and extend American compassion around the world. Interested volunteers can find information at www.usafreedomcorps.gov or by calling 1-877-USA-CORPS.
