SUBJECT: Annual Joint Committee on Printing Report

In accordance with the Joint Committee on Printing, Section 48 and 49-1 all DOC/NOAA agencies must submit an annual report summarizing all printing work performed each fiscal year. NOAA Headquarter's is requesting each of it's agencies to submit their reports to their servicing Building Management Branch Regional Printing and Publications Officer by November 15th of the current year. "Negative Reports are Required."

An annual report summarizing all work processed this fiscal year shall be completed on the appropriate JCP Forms. Complete only those forms that pertain to your activity.

If you are not sure what forms are required, please contact your Regional Printing and Publications Coordinator. Agencies authorized to use Waiver #84368 must complete JCP Form #2. This waiver authorizes the purchase of journal articles and page charges (initial and reprints) that were written by NOAA employees and published in private journals, textbooks and encyclopedias. Such printers include, but are not limited to, AMS, AGU, Allen Press, Elsevier Science Ltd., Cadmus Journal, Prentice Hall, etc.

The Supplemental Printing Report - All offices must report the total amount of money spent during the fiscal year for printing. This includes printing performed by or through GPO and printing through local print companies with and without a waiver. The Supplemental Printing Report captures all purchases, with the exception of those listed on JCP Form #2.

JCP Forms for Reporting:
JCP Form No. 1 - Printing Plants Except Plants Primary Concerned in Map and/or Chart Reproduction
JCP Form No 2 - Commercial Printing Report Supplemental Printing Form - For commercial printing
Supplemental Printing Report - Report of the total amount of money spent during the fiscal year from printing.
