Agriculture Emergency Response Training - AgERT is an all-hazards, agriculture-oriented emergency response course targeted to VMOs, AHTs, IES personnel, FSIS personnel, and anyone involved in an incident response team. Sponsored by the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS), the course is conducted at Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, AL, a unit of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Veterinarians will receive 32 continuing education (CE) credits upon completion of this course. To apply, please click here to download the application. Veterinary Services Careers Program (VSCP) - A recruitment and training program established to meet the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) needs for highly skilled, forward-looking, well-trained employees—primarily within VS. Formerly called the Public Veterinary Practice Careers Program.
Smith Kilborne Program - This program is designed to acquaint veterinary students with various foreign animal diseases which potentially threaten our domestic animal population.
