Visa Services

Welcome to the Visa Services at the U.S. Embassy in Dakar, Senegal!

We hope you will use this site to learn about different types of U.S. visas, the application process, and to better understand the requirements you need to meet in order to receive your visa.

All Senegalese citizens wishing to enter the U. S. must first obtain a visa. This visa can be a non-immigrant visa for a temporary stay, or an immigrant visa for permanent residence.  Nationals of certain countries are not required to have visas if they are traveling to the U.S. for tourism and a visit of 90 days or less.  For more information about the Visa Waiver Program click here.

Do not wait until the last minute! Inform yourself on visa application requirements and apply for your visa at least several weeks in advance of your planned travel dates. Everyone applying for a visa, including applicants renewing a visa, is required to appear in person at the U.S. Embassy.

NEW!  The United States Embassy is pleased to announce that effective immediately, ECOBANK will collect the nonimmigrant visa processing fee of $131.  For more information, please see the information about fees.
