Job Description
A Supply Clerk at the NIH performs tasks related to storage, issue, and replacement of supplies, forms, and publications. These staff members also perform basic inventory functions such as receiving, verifying, and signing shipping documents for merchandise acquired and verifying the quantity and condition of merchandise ordered against purchase documents; investigate and reconcile routine and recurring discrepancies relating to actions such as receipt control, stock control, and inventory adjustments; and perform data searches at the request of senior staff. Additionally, Supply Clerks may assist in the preparation of requisitions and provide control of the supply operation.
