Job Description
The NIH Program Support Assistant works to provide information to inquirers about research findings, diseases and disorders, health messages, resources, clinical trials, and other activities of the Institute in which they serve. Program Support Assistants respond to inquires by writing articles about Institute findings, preparing publications, attending meetings, and developing relationships with voluntary and professional health agencies and organizations. This position supports the work of senior staff by performing a range of administrative and office automation duties including: conducting library and computer searches of scientific information; creating spreadsheets from collected data; typing documents such as memoranda, letters, reports, correspondence, and administrative forms; and organizing all logistics for meetings.
