Job Description
Physical Science Technicians at the NIH prepare designs of considerable difficulty to develop methods and technologies to reduce or mitigate physical hazards. The major duties of this position may include conducting physical science experimental development projects of considerable difficulty. The work involves conducting advanced scientific analysis and synthesis of systems used in experimental development studies to advance the frontiers for understanding the interdependent relationships between physical exposures/hazards and to develop methods and technologies to reduce the risk associated with such exposure and hazards. Physical Science Technicians may encounter new concepts and varied problems which are difficult to define, and require original and innovative approaches.
