The ITU-R (Study Group 3) 3K-1 Correspondence Group is working on an improvement of the path specific propagation prediction method in the new Recommendation ITU-R Rec. P.1812. Dr. Alakananda Paul (NTIA/OSM, U.S.) is the Chair of the Correspondence Group. Paul McKenna (NTIA/ITS, U.S.) is the U.S. Chair of Study Group 3. One area of improvement that is currently being analyzed is the portion of the Recommendation that deals with diffraction. A step in this analysis process is a comparison of the proposed diffraction methods. This website houses information concerning this examination: the models being compared, the measured data collected, selected specific paths for testing the models, points of contact, etc.
