Hearing on Oil Spills
On September 16, NOAA has been invited to testify before the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation (Chairman Elijah Cummings, D MD-7) at a hearing titled Oil Spill In New Orleans in July 2008 and Safety on the Inland River System. The Subcommittee would like NOAA to testify on our role in responding to the Mississippi River oil spill (tug and barge collision).
