Heroes' Day game at University Stadium
As part of an effort designed to salute heroes in New Mexico, Lab employees have been offered discounted, $10 tickets to the University of New Mexico vs. Air Force football game scheduled for 12:30 p.m., Saturday (Nov. 19) at University Stadium in Albuquerque.
Click here to purchase discounted tickets online. Tickets also can be purchased in advance at the Lobos ticket office in Albuquerque. Tickets will be held at the will call desk at the stadium. The last day to order discounted tickets is Thursday.
Laboratory Director Bob Kuckuck will join UNM President Louis Caldera as one of [Caldera's] guests at the game, which honors the national laboratories located in New Mexico, Kirtland Air Force Base, federal and state agencies, county and city officials and other everyday New Mexico heroes. A special pre-game ceremony and half-time show will reflect the game's Heroes' Day theme.
The Air Force game is the season finale for the Lobos, currently 4-3 and tied for third place in the Mountain West Conference after a come-from-behind win at Utah last Saturday. The win also made the Lobos eligible for a post season bowl game. The visiting Air Force Academy Falcons are currently 2-5 in the conference.
University Stadium is located on the southeast corner of Avenida Cesar Chavez and University Boulevard. University Stadium can be accessed by exiting off I-25, just south of the I-40 interchange, at Avenida Cesar Chavez. Go east on Avenida Cesar Chavez. After crossing University Boulevard, University stadium is located on the right.
