Raymond Cordova of KSL Services is at the wheel of a Snow Simulator during a recent training session at Los Alamos. The device is similar to an aircraft simulation cockpit and simulates driving conditions in inclement weather. The training gave the 24 KSL Services personnel who operate snowplows during the winter months an opportunity to practice snow removal operations before the real snow starts flying later this year. Inset photo: the Snow Simulator even simulates wildlife that occasionally wander onto roadways and in front of snowplows and other vehicles. KSL Services is the Laboratory's facilities and site support services contractor.
