Service Sunday for Lab employee Montalvo

September 23, 2005

A service is scheduled for 5 p.m., Sunday, in Pojoaque for Laboratory employee Christopher Montalvo. Montalvo, 17, died in a car accident Wednesday.

Montalvo was a senior at Pojoaque High School and recently joined the Lab in Materials Management (SUP-3).

The rosary service is in the Ben Lujan Gymnasium at Pojoaque High School.

Montalvo is survived by his parents, Mary Rose of the Nuclear Materials Technology (NMT) Division Office and Michael Montalvo of the Los Alamos Fire Department; a sister, LeeAnne; brother Nathaniel of PIT Disposition Science and Technology (NMT-15); uncles, Kenny Martinez and Jerry Lugo of NMT-15, Joel Montalvo of Nuclear Materials Science (NMT-16) and Steven Ney of Test Engineering (DX-5). He also is survived by aunts, Mary Beth Lujan of the Health, Safety and Radiation Protection (HSR) Division; Mary Esther Lucero of Security Integration (S-2); Mary Margaret Ney of Operations Support (N-5); Geraldine Lugo of Nuclear Materials Management (NMT-4); and Lloyda Vigil of Human Resources (HR) Division; grandparents Pablo and Fedelina Montalvo, of Cordova, Josie Lujan of Chimayo and great-grandmother, Magdalena Espinoza of Chimayo.
