Reservations are being taken for the National Atomic Museum's semi-annual Trinity Site tour on Saturday (October 6). The tour includes docent lectures, walking Ground Zero, viewing of Jumbo and visiting the McDonald Ranch House.

Docents will lecture on the bus and at the site about historical events, developments and scientific pioneers of the Manhattan Project.

Tour buses leave the National Atomic Museum at 6 a.m., and return around 4:30 p.m. Cost of the tour is $60 per person and seating is limited. Participants will have lunch and see an explosives demonstration at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in Socorro.

Ben Benjamin, who was at Trinity during the first test, will present a lecture about the test at the museum at 7 p.m., Friday evening (October 5). The lecture is free to tour participants; $3 for others.

Sign up for the tour at the museum Web site or call the National Atomic Museum at (505) 242-6083. The museum is located at 1905 Mountain Road N.W., in Albuquerque.
