About 900 Laboratory students and their mentors attended the annual student-mentor picnic Thursday at Urban Park. This quite young "student" had a pretty good spot in the food line near the candy. Helping serve students and mentors at left is Rebecca Duran of the Education and Postdoc Program Office. The Students' Association sponsored the picnic.

Information tables staffed by the Los Alamos County Parks and Recreation Department, Los Alamos Family YMCA, Protection Technology Los Alamos, Los Alamos County's DWI Task Force, Mesa Public Library, the Lab's Research Library, the Wellness Center and the Community Programs Office among others also were part of the event.
