Former subcontractor Quintana pleads guilty

Fomer Laboratory subcontractor Jessica Lynn Quintana on Tuesday pleaded guilty to knowingly removing classified information from the national security research laboratory.

In a news release issued Tuesday by the Department of Justice, Assistant Attorney General for National Security Kenneth L. Wainstein said Quintana entered her misdemeanor guilty plea in federal court in Albuquerque. She faces a maximum sentence of up to one year in jail, a $100,000 fine, and a year of supervised release. She could also be sentenced to probation for up to five years. As part of the plea agreement, Quintana has agreed to cooperate with the government. Quintana no longer has a security clearance.
