Welcome to the IOOS Community Information Repository. This site is designed to help operators of the local ocean observatories and data providers to find and share best practices on data management. Resources have been harvested from across many of the regions and leading organizations and committees that form the IOOS community. The site is also intended to be an authoritative source for design specifications, standards, reference implementations and other material identified by the Ocean.us and the Coastal Services Center as instrumental to IOOS at the local and regional level. Help keep this site current and provide your feedback.

Join the IOOS Regional Observation Registry

Non federal IOOS participants are encouraged to register their observation activity in the national database. The process is quick and easy, see the instructions. The entire database is freely available and intended to support strategic planning and discovery and utilization of observation data. Records show the operating status of a registered observation.
