Emergency Management Support Branch
The Emergency Management Support Branch includes OEMHS’ management analyst, a communications specialist; and an emergency management technician. This branch carries out the following tasks:

  • Provide support to the EMLC’s efforts to prepare for emergencies and allocate resources during time of emergency;
  • Provide support to the EMLC for intra-agency cooperation and decisionmaking to address emergency management issues;
  • Provide support to the EMLC for policy development and setting Agency priorities in emergency management;
  • Provide coordinated communication strategy and central automated information systems;
  • Carry out internal and, with the close support of APHIS LPA, appropriate intergovernmental and external communications outreach regarding Agency emergency management and homeland security activities; and
  • Maintain the OEMHS Web site.
