Services for Children with Special Health Needs

 

  • Children's Special Health Program — Supports access to local care for uninsured children for diagnostic services for cardiac problems, cleft lip and palate, orthopedic, neurologic and rehabilitative needs. Click here. The Idaho Newborn Screening Practitioners' Manual can be accessed here.

  • Idaho Infant Toddler Program — Coordinates early intervention services for children up to three years old. The most frequently provided services include Speech/Language Therapy, Physical Therapy, Developmental Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Respite Care. The program partners with other agencies, private contract providers and families to plan comprehensive and effective services to enhance each child's developmental potential. Click here.

  • The Katie Beckett Program — Children with long-term disabilities or complex medical needs, living at home with their families, may be eligible for Medicaid services even if their family income is above Medicaid federal poverty guidelines.
