AHRQ National Advisory Council to Meet March 28

The National Advisory Council for Healthcare Research and Quality will meet on Friday, March 28, 2003. The Council provides advice to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality on matters related to AHRQ's customers and health services researchers. This is our first meeting with a group of new members, whose biographies are available on our Web site at http://www.ahrq.gov/about/bios.htm.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin with an update on the status of the Agency's current research, programs, and initiatives. The Council will discuss these specific topics: research on health care costs, patient safety, and research on long-term care.
