| Area Fire Weather Forecasts | National Weather Service Forecasts Other Links WFO Jackson has fire weather responsibility for most of eastern Kentucky, including the Daniel Boone National Forest, and portions of the Big South Fork National River and Recreation area, Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, and Jefferson National Forest. The normal fire season will be separated into two periods. The spring season will run from February 1 through May 15. The fall fire season will run from October 1 through December 15.
