Significant Flooding Continues on the Illinois River

THE ILLINOIS RIVER HAS CRESTED AT HENRY AND PEORIA AND IS SLOWLY FALLING. SIGNIFICANT FLOODING WILL CONTINUE AT BOTH LOCATIONS THROUGH THE WEEKEND...AS WELL AS DOWNSTREAM LOCATIONS WHERE HAVANA AND BEARDSTOWN CONTINUE TO RISE.

PEOPLE ALONG THE ILLINOIS RIVER ARE URGED TO FOLLOW THE LATEST RIVER STAGES AND FORECASTS CLOSELY.

 REMEMBER...NEVER DRIVE INTO A FLOODED AREA OR ACROSS A FLOODED ROAD. 


 Flood warnings are currently in effect for the following river locations...

The Illinois River at Henry, and Peoria, Havana, and Beardstown

The Sangamon River at Petersburg and Chandlerville
