Introduction
The national organizations listed in this reference circular serve as
information clearinghouses, referral agencies, and legislative advocates
for people with physical disabilities, their families, and the professionals
who work with them. Many provide services such as peer support and
counseling directly to the individual. They distribute publications related
to their missions and may also support research to find a cure for or to
control the specific disorder for which they advocate.
