CalWORKs - AB 1808 - Publications and Data Master Plan

  • Preliminary Work Participation Data (TANF/SSP Combined)
    These tables display the State's status annually on the federal work participation rate. These tables combine data for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)-funded and Separate State Program cases.
  • County TANF Work Participation Rate Monthly Report (WTW 30)
    These tables display each county's monthly participation rate based on federally allowable welfare-to-work activities.
  • Pay for Performance
    The Pay for Performance (P4P) program was authorized by AB 1808 (2006-07 Human Services Budget Trailer Bill). The P4P program is a strategy designed to encourage counties to invest resources in work activities that move families toward meaningful and lasting employment and to assist the State in increasing its federal work participation rate.

    This chart displays each county's status of their employment rate of CalWORKs cases. Measure 3 - Percentage of County CalWORKs Cases (Leavers with Employment)
    This chart displays each county's status on the percentage of CalWORKs cases that have earned income three months after leaving the program.
  • TANF Caseload Chart
    This chart displays the overall CalWORKs caseload separated by the total cases that are required to participate in Welfare To Work federal activities and those exempt. This includes a break-down of the federal work participation status of the CalWORKs caseload required to participate.
  • CalWORKs Participation Status of Cases with Adults
    This table displays the CalWORKs participation status of cases with adults for the last month of each quarter.

Data Master Plan

  • Report to the Legislature
    It is the intent of the Legislature that the State Department of Social Services (CDSS) prepare and submit to the Legislature a Master Plan for CalWORKs data by April 1, 2007.
