September 9-10, 2008

The Denver and Seattle regional offices of the Economic Development Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, will jointly host a training-oriented conference in Denver, Colorado on September 9th and 10th. Representatives from current or prospective EDA-supported economic development entities in these two EDA regions are strongly urged to attend.

The two-day schedule of offerings is geared toward enhancing economic development performance to better compete in today’s global economy. Attendees may register for one or both days. However, attendance and participation in the September 10th concurrent workshop on EDA-funded Revolving Loan Funds is required for at least one representative administrator of each fund.

While in Sweden, Assistant Secretary Baruah and Deputy Assistant Secretary and Chief Operating Officer Benjamin Erulkar will meet with U.S. Ambassador to Sweden, Michael Wood and Swedish government and business executives to discuss connecting Swedish alternative energy technologies to the U.S. marketplace.
