Year 2008 Training

Welcome to the Office of Native American Programs Training webpage.

The 2008 training is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Native American Programs. These courses are designed to enhance your understanding of the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act (NAHASDA) and other housing and community issues.

Anyone in Indian housing will want to attend these sessions. All sessions are free, however, registration is required to allow for sufficient space in the training room.

NEW! 2008 Training Dates and Classes


 -   HUD-ONAP Greenier Homes Training - The 2008 Greener Homes trainings, hosted by HUD’s Office of Native American Programs are a series of 2-day sessions to be located in areas with high mold and moisture problems. This informational workshop focuses on home energy efficiency and comfort, as well as indoor air quality, renewable energy resources, and mold and moisture prevention. The workshop also features hands-on demonstrations of energy efficiency products.
 -   2008 ICDBG Training - HUD's Office of Native American Programs (ONAP) announces a training session titled, "Improving Future Indian Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG) Applications". This training is being offered for all Indian tribes and tribal organizations that are interested in submitting grant applications. Workshop Registration, hotel information and the agenda. | Flyer
 -   Section 184 Loan Guarantee Program - Learn from hands-on case studies, worksheets and interactive discussions taught by HUD Loan Guarantee specialists
 -   Title VI Loan Guarantee Program - Assist Indian Housing Block Grant (IHBG) recipients (borrowers) who want to finance eligible affordable housing activities, but are unable to secure financing without the assistance of a federal guarantee.
