Extended Hours. Extended Service. As of August 8, all State Tax Commission and state DMV offices are closed on Fridays, including telephone call-in centers and e-mail assistance.
As of Monday, August 4, 2008, all Tax Commission offices and some DMV offices have extended hours of operation from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and are closed on Fridays. This is in conjuction with Governor Huntsman's "Working 4 Utah" initiative. Also remember that many tax and motor vehicle services are available online.
As of August 1, 2008 you can no longer use your old five-digit sales tax account number as the ID to log in to the EFT ACH-Debit payment system. You must use the first eleven digits (without the hyphen) of your new sales tax account number as your log in ID. When using the system for the first time with your new ID, you must use the temporary PIN you received in the mail.
