Ginnie Mae Reporting and Feedback System (RFS)

Issuer Reporting Technical Specification Document

RFS is a new system being implemented under Ginnie Mae's Business Process Improvement (BPI) initiative. The Ginnie Mae Issuer Reporting Technical Specification Document (IRTS) demonstrates how to submit monthly pool administration data files to the Ginnie Mae Reporting and Feedback System (RFS). The IRTS document establishes Ginnie Mae's new approach to monthly reporting and it provides the technical specifications for issuers and servicers regarding Ginnie Mae's changes in monthly pool, loan package and loan level reporting processes.

The IRTS document provides the information required by issuers and servicers to revise the technology and systems used to report pool, loan package and loan level data on monthly basis. The IRTS document assumes the reader is generally familiar with Ginnie Mae's plan for streamlined and re-engineered monthly reporting of security RPB, pool or loan package monthly data and loan level data reporting. The IRTS document does not cover or change anything related to pool origination and settlement or pool payment processes. However, this document does specify a change to the monthly RPB reporting process.

If you have any additional questions regarding the Ginnie Mae Issuer Reporting Technical Specification Document, please read the RFS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page. If you cannot find an answer in the FAQs, please contact the RFS Helpdesk. In the near future, Ginnie Mae will issue further instructions, policy guidance and anticipated schedules related to the implementation of RFS and other BPI initiatives.
