Passive Solar Design

One of the best ways to use solar energy is to design buildings with the sun in mind. This can be as simple as putting windows in the right place to gain heat and light exposure. South-facing windows, overhangs, and designing for natural ventilation should be a part of any building project.

One of the best parts of passive solar design is that it adds little, if any, extra cost and can cut heating costs in half. It can also improve the comfort of a building by providing natural light and natural air flow.
