Joshua Koerner

Joshua Koerner is the Executive Director of CHOICE: Consumers Helping Others In a Caring Environment. Under his leadership, CHOICE became the first independent peer-run agency in Westchester County. He has spoken at numerous conferences, including Alternatives, the National Mental Health Association, the US Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, and the New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services, where he serves as co-President elect. He has also lectured at Brown and Columbia Universities. His column appears in Mental Health News. In 2001 he was awarded the Art Lewis Award for Exemplary Achievement in Rehabilitation and Recovery. Mr. Koerner is dually diagnosed.
