New Features in the Food Facility Registration Module (FFRM)


Version 5.31
Release Date: July 25, 2008

Version 5.31 of the Food Facility Registration Module (FFRM) system release includes the following modification:

  1. Improved validation of addresses by providing immediate feedback to the user, in case of invalid addresses. The facility address, preferred mailing address and US agent address (for foreign facilities) receive this immediate feedback.

Version 5.7
Release Date: November 20, 2006

This release adds new validation features related to e-mail addresses and to telephone area codes (domestic numbers) and to telephone country codes (international numbers). The area and country code numbers will be validated using a list of valid codes. The e-mail address will include additional checks to verify that the address is properly formatted.


Version 5.6
Release Date: July 27, 2006

In order to improve the quality of the contact information in FFRM, we have added a feature to autofill the city and state, based on the zip code entered, for US addresses.

The forms have been altered slightly to request the zip code first. If more than one city is located in the zip code, you will be able to select the appropriate city. See also New Features in Account Management.


October 2005 Revision

We have implemented a new feature limiting the number of times an account can login within a given period of time. If an account exceeds the limit, that account will be disabled for an hour. After an hour, the account will be automatically enabled for use again. The limit has been set high enough that it should not adversely affect anyone’s ability to use the Registration or Prior Notice systems in a reasonable manner to accomplish their business requirements. This is being implemented to maintain system performance for all accounts to prevent unusual and unnecessary patterns of use by any single account. March 2004 Revision

  1. Improved Display for Checked Items

    We have received feedback that it is difficult to find items that are checked, particularly in the establishment type and Product sections of the Registration preview form and the printable version of the registration form.

    To increase the visibility of the checked items, we have changed the font for selected items to use a bold type. Unchecked items retain the regular font.

  2. List the Number of Registrations Returned

    When doing a search on registrations, particularly if the search criteria return many registrations, it is helpful to know how many registrations have been found that match the search criteria.

    We have added a count of active registrations, cancelled registrations and total registrations to the search results page.
