Strong winds on Mother’s Day gusted to near 50 mph

A strong low pressure system over Indiana produced gusty west to northwest winds on Sunday (Mother’s Day). The highest wind gusts were in the 45 to 55 mph range. There were reports of a few trees and power lines down.
