Description

African-American women take in only about half the amount of recommended calcium. Not getting enough calcium plays a big role in the development of osteoporosis in African-American women. One reason for this may be that as many as three out of four African-American women are lactose-intolerant. This publication discusses osteoporosis in African Americans and things you can do to help prevent osteoporosis.
