| Intermountain Health Care (IHC) is a community-owned, nonprofit
healthcare organization operating in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming with 23
hospitals, numerous outlying clinics and facilities, and more than 400
physicians. IHC has placed an emphasis on integrating clinical data to
make the quality of care within the network uniform and has a well-developed
IT infrastructure that includes the legacy HELP (Health Evaluation through
Logical Processing) system -an expert system that conducts evaluations
and provides recommendations on the care of each patient. The EMR system
has demonstrated cost savings in the area of disease management
(that enable the provider to intervene earlier and use preventive health
services) as well as through lower paper-handling and transcription
costs and higher staff productivity.

Partners HealthCare was founded in 1994 by Brigham and Women's Hospital and
Massachusetts General Hospital. Partners is developing an integrated health
care delivery system throughout the region that offers patients a
continuum of coordinated high-quality care. The system includes primary
care and specialty physicians, community hospitals, the two founding
academic medical centers, specialty facilities, community health centers,
and other health-related entities. Partners HealthCare is a non-profit
organization.

The American Health Information Management Association is the community of professionals engaged in health information management, providing support to members and strengthening the industry and profession. It represents more than 45,000 specially educated health information management professionals who work throughout the healthcare industry. Health information management professionals serve the healthcare industry and the public by managing, analyzing, and utilizing data vital for patient care -- and making it accessible to healthcare providers when it is needed most.

| The American Medical Informatics Association is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) membership organization of individuals, institutions, and corporations dedicated to developing and using information technologies to improve health care.
AMIA was formed in 1990 by the merger of three organizations - the American Association for Medical Systems and Informatics (AAMSI), the American College of Medical Informatics (ACMI), and the Symposium on Computer Applications in Medical Care (
SCAMC). The 3,200 members of AMIA include physicians, nurses, computer and
information scientists, biomedical engineers, medical librarians, and
academic researchers and educators. AMIA is the official United States
representative organization to the International Medical Informatics Association.

information system. NAHDO serves as a broker of expertise for the development and enhancement of
