Office of Departmental Grants Management and Oversight

The Office of Departmental Grants Management and Oversight (ODGMO) was established to develop a Department-wide perspective on grants management; strengthen internal controls and enhance management integrity by separating the duties and responsibilities of those establishing program policy from those selecting grantees; and, improve management efficiencies by streamlining procedures, facilitating implementation of best practices from other agencies, and improving internal controls. The ODGMO operates across Department Programs and implements policies and procedures for the Secretary and the Deputy Secretary relating to grants.
