DOE to Sponsor Upcoming Greenhouse Gas Technologies Event


Over 1,000 Attendees Expected at International Conference

Washington, DC - The Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy announced today that the 9th International Conference on Greenhouse Gas Technologies will be held November 16-20 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC.


Organized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in collaboration with the International Energy Agency Greenhouse Gas R&D Programme and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Fossil Energy, the event is held every two years in IEA Greenhouse Gas member countries. The Greenhouse Gas Control Technologies (GHGT) conference series was formed in 1997 and is the principal international conference on greenhouse gas mitigation technologies. The GHGT conference series has become a focal point for international research on carbon capture and storage technology.
