The International Price Program (IPP) produces Import/Export Price Indexes (MXP) containing data on changes in the prices of nonmilitary goods and services traded between the U.S. and the rest of the world.

Next Release: October 10, 2008

September 2008 U.S. Import and Export Price Indexes are scheduled to be released on October 10, 2008, at 8:30 A.M. Eastern Time.

The U.S. Import Price Index decreased 3.7 percent in August, after a revised 0.2 percent advance in July. A 12.8 percent drop in petroleum prices led the August decline. Prices for overall exports decreased 1.7 percent for the month. More...
