Works to provide appropriate and comprehensive services to Mississippians with disabilities in a timely and effective manner. Programs and services assist individuals with disabilities to gain employment, retain employment and/or to live more independently.

Provides specialized services for persons over 60 including case management, adult day care programs, housing services, senior employment programs, transportation services, in-home services, healthcare and advocacy services.

Designed to increase opportunities and choices for Social Security disability beneficiaries in obtaining employment, vocational rehabilitation (VR) and other support services from public and private providers, employers and other organizations.

Each center provides career counseling, resume assistance, direct job placement, classroom and on-the-job training, and information about local and national labor markets and unemployment compensation.

Provides services to enable all Social Security beneficiaries with disabilities (including transition-to-work aged youth) to make informed choices about work, including individualized work incentives planning and other assistance services.

Ensures the provision of technology-related services for Mississippians with disabilities by increasing the awareness of and access to assistive technology.

Assists veterans and their dependents in securing federal and state benefits or preferences in Mississippi to which they may be entitled, including employment and health benefits.
