Healthy People 2010
Public Comment

To ensure consensus surrounding the nation's health agenda for the next decade, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services began a consultation process with the public health community, businesses, private and voluntary organizations, States and localities. In 1998, a draft of proposed objectives was made available for public comments, and comments were accepted via the Internet, by mail, and at regional meetings.  All these comments are available on this web site.  Comments on the the process of developing new objectives and the proposed Healthy People 2010 framework that were received in 1997 are also available. You can also read the draft document, Healthy People 2010 Objectives: Draft for Public Comment, online.
