The Bureau of Engraving and Printing has exclusively designed, engraved, and printed all United States paper currency since 1862. Confederate States Notes were not produced by the Bureau and are not obligations of the United States Government.
If genuine and in good condition, Confederate Notes may be of interest to collectors of old currencies. The names and addresses of collectors and dealers are usually listed in the classified section of the telephone directory under the headings of "Coins" and "Hobbies."
