ASST PROFESSOR

University of Michigan - Flint

The Biology Department at the University of Michigan-Flint invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. A candidate is sought with a background in genetics. Teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate and graduate (M.S.) levels
including lecture and possibly laboratory instruction in two or more of the following areas, Genetics, Principles of Biology and/or Cell Biology. Applicants must be willing to actively involve undergraduates in research and become involved in our expanding M.S. Program, through participation in existing graduate level courses and/or mentoring of graduate student thesis/research projects. Start date is Fall 2008. Requirements: Ph.D. in genetics or related field, demonstrated teaching ability, commitment to and excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching and research, and an active research record.
