September 10, 2008 WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Richard Diamond has been appointed senior vice president for the Office of Communications at the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank). The office encompasses the Bank's public affairs, external affairs and marketing divisions. "Richard's experience will prove an invaluable asset as Ex-Im Bank continues to help U.S. companies turn export opportunities into real sales," said Ex-Im Bank Chairman and President James H. Lambright. Diamond was also a long-time aide and press secretary to former U.S. House Majority Leader Dick Armey, the congressional leadership's point man on economic and trade issues. Following the attacks on 9/11, Diamond was also selected to become the first spokesman for the House Committee on Homeland Security A California native, Diamond holds a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Thomas Aquinas College and a master's degree in politics from the University of Dallas. |
