Brief Description: | We started our program in January of 2003 and have completed three classes. The first one was funded by the police and fire departments and the other two by a grant. Our goal is to get 4 more trainers and complete at least two classes a year. We are also getting the teams made up and equiped to respond. |

Brief Description: | The Saline County LEPC has been teaching CERT to students at Salina South High since the spring of 2005. We have created two response teams (12 students each)in the school and they are trained and equipped to respond to emergencies in the school. They also are available to assist in the response to events occuring anywhere in Saline County or Statewide. We teach a Basic CERT course as an elective class in the fall and offer advanced training each spring. The response teams have also participated in training exercises with Saline County's First Response agencies (fire, law enforcement, ems, etc) to enhance their skills. |

Brief Description: | C.E.R.T. training is availble for residents and businesses. A schedule of trainings for the year is available. Residential classes are one evening a week for 7 weeks. Brief Description: | Our CERT course is taught at least once per quarter. We run a 21 hour program that includes the basic CERT curriculum and adds mass pharmaceutical distribution and communications basics using FRS radios. Our goal is to have at least one team (around 10 members) in each of the smaller towns in our county and at least one team in each of Hutchinson's seven fire station response areas. We have received support and acknowledgement from Fire, Law Enforcement and EMS agencies in the county. |
