Hello and welcome to the home page of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Self-Insurance for Workers' Compensation at the Hanford Site. The DOE has made improvements to the program during the last several months that we hope will lead to a better, more user-friendly process. These improvements are the first, but not the last, we will be making and we continue to welcome your feedback on our efforts.
This webpage has been developed to provide information and tools to assist individuals with information and resources on the workers' compensation program at Hanford. Our mission is to improve communication among DOE, DOE's third party administrator, Contract Claims Services, Inc. (CCSI), and between the covered site contractors, Washington State Labor and Industries (L&I), the site occupational medical provider, medical offices, and the claimants.
On this webpage, you will find links to a variety of information, including workers' compensation guidance documents, links to L&I's website, and other related topics.

 Did You Know?
Prescription Medications: Workers' Compensation only pays for prescription medications necessary for treatment of accepted conditions resulting from industrial injuries and occupational diseases on open and allowed workers' compensation claims. Prescription medications for treatment of unrelated conditions and/or conditions not accepted under a claim must be paid for by the worker or billed to their private health insurance.
