and percent changes for the material and supply inputs to construction
industries indexes were incorrect from January 2002 through April 2002. Incorrect values appeared both on the BLS
website from
1 Indexes in this table are derived from the primary product indexes in table 5 of the PPI Detailed Report that are weighted using 1992 input/output relationships and 1997 weights. These indexes only include inputs to construction which are produced by the mining and manufacturing sectors of the economy, excluding capital equipment. Since they do not include labor or capital costs, these indexes should not be regarded as comprehensive measures of changes in construction costs. All data are subject to revision 4 months after original publication. |
