Interior Lawyer Knows Colorado

The 16-year-old was starting a teen center to give kids in his Western Slope hometown of Rifle something to do. He'd borrowed a building. He got furniture donated. But he wanted to put in arcade games, and the taxes on the machines would sink his small enterprise.
So he went before the Rifle City Council to make his case. He got the tax break - his first political victory.

Secretary Kempthorne Announces Selection of Melinda Loftin As
New Director of Interior Ethics Office
Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne announced the selection of Melinda J. Loftin as the new Designated Agency Ethics Official for the U.S. Department of the Interior.
Before her selection for this Senior Executive Service position at Interior, Loftin worked at the Department of the Air Force as an Associate General Counsel, a Deputy Designated Agency Ethics Official and Director of the Ethics Office. more |
