Treasury Official To Visit Colorado
To Work on Advancing Youth Financial Literacy

Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Education Dan Iannicola, Jr. will visit Colorado Springs, Colo. on Tuesday, April 18 to discuss financial education for students in Kindergarten through high school. Iannicola will join Junior Achievement as the group releases the results of its survey on the personal finance practices of America's teenagers. 

Treasury Secretary John Snow and other members of the Financial Literacy and Education Commission recently released their strategy to improve financial literacy in America.  Their plan, titled Taking Ownership of the Future: The National Strategy for Financial Literacy, is available at www.mymoney.gov. Chapter ten of the National Strategy discusses ways to improve elementary and high school students' financial literacy.
