INTERNATIONAL CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION APPOINTMENT
Washington, D.C. -- U.S. Office of Personnel Management's Assistant Director for Insurance Programs Lucretia F. Myers has been appointed by the United Nations General Assembly to a four year term as a member of the International Civil Service Commission.
Ms. Myers, a career member of the Senior Executive Service, was selected because of her executive experience in human resource management and public administration.
The 15-member International Civil Service Commission was established by the U.N. General Assembly in 1974. Among its responsibilities, the Commission regulates and coordinate the conditions of service, including salaries and benefits, for employees in the United Nations common system. The U.N. common system covers a number of specialized agencies and international organizations headquartered in Geneva, London, Montreal, New York, Paris, Rome, and Vienna. There are approximately 55,000 staff members serving at 600 duty stations worldwide.
