Health Net Life Insurance Company offers Medicare prescription drug coverage through the Health Net Orange plans. Effective January 16, 2008, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has placed a marketing and enrollment freeze on several Health Net plans. This freeze affects plans under Health Net contract number S5678. Please note: this freeze does not apply to all Health Net plans. For instance, individuals can enroll in the Health Net managed care plan, Health Net's managed care prescription drug plan, and Health Net's Private Fee for Service Plan. The impacted plans include: - Health Net Orange Option 1
- Health Net Orange Option 2
- Health Net Value Orange Option 2
- Health Net Orange
The freeze means that the above Health Net plans under S5678 cannot market to new members and cannot accept any new enrollments that are dated after January 16, 2008. New enrollments are still being accepted into plans under Health Net that are not in the above list. This action will not affect individuals currently enrolled in one of the above Health Net plans. They will continue to receive the same prescription drug coverage that they always receive through Health Net.
