Unger will speak at the Security Industry Association's Y2K Update Conference on June 23, 1999. The conference will take place at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. Commissioner Unger's remarks will focus on what the securities industry can expect to occur over the next six months leading up to the transition weekend. In particular, she will discuss the Commission's proposed Year 2000 operational capability rules, contingency planning, and data collection by the Commission, the exchanges, and the NASD.
